Terms of sale – TROP Design AB

These terms apply when you shop as a consumer from TROP Design AB, company registration number 559566-4052, at tropdesign.se and tropdesign.eu.

By completing a purchase, you accept these terms.

1. Contract and orders

A binding contract is formed when you complete checkout and receive an order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to correct obvious errors in prices or product information and to decline or cancel an order where fraud or errors are suspected, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

2. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency applicable to your selected market, including applicable VAT unless otherwise stated. The final price and currency are shown at checkout. Any shipping charges are shown before purchase.

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. Refunds use the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise at no extra cost to you.

3. Delivery

We deliver to countries available at checkout. Lamps are dispatched within 3 days of ordering. Transit time then normally takes 2–3 business days within Sweden and an estimated 3–7 business days to other EU destinations. The EU transit time is an estimate, not a guarantee. See our shipping policy for details. We inform you of known delays as soon as possible.

Risk in the goods passes to you when you receive delivery.

4. Right of withdrawal and returns

As a consumer, you normally have 14 days from receiving the goods to withdraw from your purchase. Notify us within this period and return the goods within 14 days of your notice. You pay return shipping for a withdrawal. For an accepted claim concerning faulty goods, we cover necessary return costs.

You may inspect the goods' characteristics and function. Unopened original packaging is not required. Where the legal conditions are met, a deduction for diminished value may apply to handling beyond what is necessary for inspection.

An exception to the right of withdrawal may apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. We inform you of any applicable exception before purchase. Making a standard product after an order is placed does not, by itself, remove your right of withdrawal.

Refunds are made within 14 days of your withdrawal notice. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or you provide evidence of returning them, whichever is earlier. See our return policy for full details on returns and refunds.

5. Faulty goods

In Sweden, you have 3 years to make a claim for original defects under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act. Notify us within a reasonable time after discovering a fault; notification within two months is always considered timely.

You are entitled to remedies under applicable consumer law, normally repair or replacement first and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or cancellation.

6. Products and use

Our products are intended for normal use. Follow the product's usage and safety instructions. For scented candles: never leave a burning candle unattended, place it on a heat-resistant surface, and keep it away from children, pets and flammable materials.

7. Liability

Our liability is governed by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.

8. Circumstances beyond our control

If circumstances beyond our reasonable control affect delivery, we inform you as soon as possible. Your mandatory consumer rights also apply in the event of delays.

9. Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection rules. Read our privacy policy for details.

10. Disputes and applicable law

These terms are governed by Swedish law without limiting the protection provided by mandatory consumer rules in your country of residence. In disputes, we follow the decisions of the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden). You may also contact the Swedish Consumer Agency (Konsumentverket) for guidance.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on our website at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
